1940s deco genuine Porosus crocodile clutch with bakelite scottie
Gorgeous caramel 40s crocodile clutch from England with beautiful, gleaming skins and a cool, deco design. From the Porosus crocodile, the on the most luxury brands use, such as Lucille de Paris and Hermes. Scales are centered. Has a gleaming brass frame which opens to one main compartment of cream satin with a front wall slash pocket and a back wall slash pocket which holds the original mirror. From the hinges, there was a central bar from which was suspended a coin purse that is no longer present. The most adorable feature is the bakelite (tested with simichrome) scotties on the front flap. As far as is known, it is original to the bag.
Condition: excellent vintage condition, however coin purse is missing. It functions fine without it though!
